Natural alternative to synthetic preservatives discovered in grains

Some consumers have adverse reactions to commonly used synthetic and industrialized preservatives* like BHT, BHA, EDTA and Sodium Benzoate, causing them to avoid processed foods that contain these chemicals. But that may be changing in the future.  Good news may be on the horizon for ridding some processed foods of synthetic and industrialized preservatives…A natural antioxidant found in grain bran could preserve food longer and replace synthetic antioxidants currently used by the food industry.  Go here to read a brief overview of the preliminary findings of this research.
